My name is Matt Ulfelder, a fingerboard enthusiast with a passion for learning and diving way too deep into his interests.
My fingerboarding journey began in the late 90s with Tech Decks, but it wasn't until 2008 that I became truly immersed in the hobby. I made edits on YouTube, joined forums, attended local events, everything was fingerboarding for me.
Unfortunately around 2011, I graduated high school, "grew up" and put the hobby on hold to focus on other interests (photo/video, cars, relationships etc.)
Ten years later, after getting in touch with old friends in the hobby, I rediscovered fingerboarding and was blown away by how much the it had progressed. Now with a job and disposable income, I could finally afford the high-quality products I've always dreamed of owning. There was one thing I was always curious about: deck making.
Thanks to the helpful YouTube and Discord communities (and knowledge/possession of a 3D Printer), I was able to learn a ton of information and get started making decks. My first mold was a free file found on Thingiverse! It sucked!
Through hours of trial and error, I eventually got in touch with mold makers to get my first custom mold made, and that's what I'm using now. I'm proud to offer my own custom handcrafted decks through µ.
